International Conference on Film Forming Amines and Products
Welcome to the International Conference on Film Forming Amines and Products
The conference addresses operational personnel, technical managers, plant engineers, boiler operators and
service providers as well as manufacturers of components and chemicals.
The event is dedicated to advancing the knowledge about film forming amines and products.
Scientific papers and case studies will provide an excellent insight to the latest developments in this field of cycle chemistry.
The conference offers a fantastic opportunity to network directly with many colleagues and experts from Switzerland and abroad.
The conference will take place from April 4 – 6, 2017, at the KKL Luzern in Lucerne, Switzerland.
Register today to benefit from the early bird rate. For more information on the conference, please
The conference is organized by the International Association for the Properties of Water and Steam (IAPWS)
with the support of the Swiss Committee for the Properties of Water and Steam (SCPWS).
We look forward to seeing you in Lucerne, Switzerland

WHO WE ARE
The Swiss Committee for the Properties of Water and Steam (SCPWS) is a scientific association founded in 2007. SCPWS aims to advance the knowledge in the properties of water, steam and aqueous systems, particularly those of interest to thermal power plants and other industrial applications. SCPWS is the leading representative body for power plant chemistry in Switzerland.
The SCPWS is an independent and non-profit making organization. Our goal is to unite all relevant stakeholders such as universities, research institutes and industrial companies under one roof and allowing knowledge to be shared amongst engineers, scientists, academics and industry.
Our activities include the organizing of meetings, symposia and conferences in order to share and exchange knowledge and expand the personal networks of our members. We also maintain relations with national and international associations and organizations of the power and water industry.
We are affiliated to the International Association for the Properties of Water and Steam (IAPWS) and share objectives to advance knowledge in common areas of interest.
The SCPWS represents the National Committee for Switzerland which acts as one of the smaller national entities within the body and framework of IAPWS.
The IAPWS is a non-profit association of national organizations concerned with the properties of water and steam, particularly thermo-physical properties, cycle chemistry and other aspects that are relevant to thermal power cycles and other industrial applications.
The objectives of IAPWS include:
• The provision of internationally accepted formulations for the properties of steam, water and selected aqueous solutions for scientific and industrial application;
• To define and promote research in these areas;
• To provide an international forum for the exchange of experiences, ideas and the results of research.
To share information and experiences between researchers and engineers, IAPWS holds annual meetings in combination with international conferences at 4 to 5 year intervals.
Further information on IAPWS as well as Technical Guidance Documents that have been issued on power plant chemistry can be found at www.iapws.org
